Artist Statement

My work with clay is an expression of my experiences and my vision as an artist and potter. I use the potters wheel as well as hand-built techniques to create unique, interesting vessels that enhance a special space or serve an essential purpose. I am intrigued with the use of textures and impressions in or on the clay so that glazes move and pool, augmenting the forms and making one want to touch their surface. The highest tribute is for my pots to speak to you and a conversation results from the mere existence of my work, my pots.
